06-15-2009 REPORTS: CO, KS, NE, OK

Here's video from the robotic camera dome at 4x speed, just west of Kinsley:

At 4x speed you can tell the rotation is quite weak for a tornadic circulation, and the initial curling outflow made me think this was just a large gustnado. However, you can clearly see a nub funnel/lowering associated with it midway through the video, which makes side with the general consensus that this was a (relatively weak) tornado.

Apparently DDC is not going to to a follow up report...at least not right now. They have taken the link for the June 15th storms off their main webpage. Hmm....
