We and Dean Cosgrove had a leisurely afternoon drive right to the top of a hill near Wray, CO, where we perched for three hours as the Yuma, CO, storm sat just about stationary doing its thing 20 miles to the northwest. The persistent meso on WX-Works was all mid-level with nothing you could ever really call a wall cloud -- even a three-mile-high wall cloud. The storms really did yeoman's work with low 40s dews and maybe 500 CAPE. The storm looked much more impressive on radar than if did in person.
Nonetheless the vantage was very pretty and well worth the trip to just about the only game in town this day!
