• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Cell just northwest of Tulsa looks like it has picked up a nice bit of rotation... Under a SVR now, but it appears to be strengthening and I'd be worried about a tornado.

Been watching that cell as well. Tornado warning went out about 10 minutes ago now but it appears rotation with the storm has weakened the last scan or two. BREF still showing decent inflow notch and I would not be surprised to see it reorganize.

Tornado reported just prior to the TOR being issued - that's fading but the cell approaching Miami picking up nice rotation now...

Storm chasers are reporting a tornado on the ground in NE Lawrence Co. Missouri. Storm is TOR warned. This is just northwest of Springfield metro area.

TORNADO ON THE GROUND ACCORDING TO SPOTTER REPORTS NEAR ASH GROVE WHICH IS IN NW GREENE COUNTY MISSOURI. HAS BEEN POWER POLES SNAPPED DURING THE PAST HOUR IN NE LAWRENCE COUNTY MISSOURI. TOO BAD I'M HERE AT WORK :(

That cell and tornado/circulation center will pass JUST (couple miles) to the north of Springfield. If you are in the immediate area of Springfield, look to your north. If you are north of I-44, take cover. :)

I AM LOOKING NORTH AT I-44 IN NORTHEAST SPRINGFIELD. A LOT OF SCUD FLOWING INTO THE DIRECTION OF THE STORM, BUT THAT IS ABOUT IT AT THIS TIME.

Roger Hill is on a very nice cell - not sure where he is though. I am merely watching his video feed through http://www.severestudios.com/livechase right now. We are trying to contact him to determine his location.

As for South Dakota -- I have about four inches of snow on the ground in Madison, SD and it continues to come down. I cannot believe we are having snow here and there are Tornadoes to the south. What a spring this has been.

Am currently setting up shop at the Gainesville TX rest area...making patient decisions. The best inflow and mean tornadic supercells is across SC/SE OK and adjacent NC/NE Texas...and on into W. AR. I am feeling that as the wave moves into the warm sector, it is the dryline storms that will be the big news today...especially as they move towards the US Highway 69/75 corridor. Many parameters are in place for multiple strong tornadoes. Climatology/historical tornado patterns are quite favorable for the Durant-Sherman areas. Time will tell....just need to sit tight and things will fall into place. ;)

Sitting in Davis at the Microtel Inn and Suites/Casino with plenty of TCU around...same story as everyone else really. Cell to my WNW has an Anvil and doesn't look too bad..here's a pic:

EDIT: I have a better view to the west now, looks like we might have initiation farther west now...

Hey Brian. you are not alone in Gainesville. Myself, Brett Roberts, and Bryan Putnam are sitting at a McDonalds parking lot, also hoping for initiation this far south. I'd like to chase a storm not associated with the cold front.

Water Vapor imagery is showing a shortwave pushing into north central texas, and I'm hoping that can kick up a few storms here. Surface winds are slightly more southerly, and it is 80 over 70 here. I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens.

Latest VIS sat scans show developing cells ahead and along the dryline from southern OK into north-central TX. If I was there now, I'd be waiting around the OK/TX border just south of Ardmore, that looks like the best spot for now. Impressive 80/70°F T/Tds spread there with slightly backed surface winds.

Good luck to all out there today!

Best looking storm in TX is the one heading toward Ft. Worth. Currently it's just past Granbury. It appears it's trying to take a right turn with the last couple radar scans or maybe just back building a bit. There's another good looking storm heading towards Ardmore. I personally think both of these storms could produce a Tor and will probably be warned as such within the next 15 minutes...
