What are some of your favorite model websites, preferably that have sector views? I love(d) College of Dupage because of its close-in sector views and easy to read graphics, but the site is now all but unusable after the redesign. Earl Barker's model page is the next best thing I've found, but the way it plots data can be a bit confusing at times when there are multiple parameters being plotted at once. Twisterdata has the best interface, but I can find any sector views, only North America (which, when viewing data one day out, isn't quite enough for me to mentally process what's going on on a finer scale). UCAR suffers from the same problem with no sectors. I do like the NOAA NCEP site for some things, but again, no real sector views.

Also, what are some good sites that play well with the iPhone?

For a quick look at the latest models, Twisterdata is now where I go. Like Ryan, I was a big COD fan, their site was by far the easiest to use, with sector views that even included New England... I pretty much used them exclusively, but then they went ahead and did the redesign. I haven't written COD off completely yet, the new site may still be salvageable with some major tweaks, but I agree it's almost unusable as it currently stands. Which leaves Twisterdata as the #1 site for overall usability. Wish they would add the ECMWF, but that's my only major quibble, sector views are nice but not essential for me. I use a lot of other sites for various specific things, but for a down and dirty quick look at the models, Twisterdata is hard to beat. Earl Barker's site probably has more information available on it than just about any other model site, but of course it's notoriously hard to navigate. If there's another multiple-model site with the ease-of-use and quick comparison capabilities of Twisterdata or the old COD, I'd love to know about it.

I actually like the COD page better now that they did the redesign. I think the new features are pretty cool, especially the comparisons between previous runs and the NAM/GFS comparisons that use just a slider bar.

I use twister data for most everything. I have been using CoD alot though recently.

Then Earl Barker Skew-t's for all my Skew-T needs.

Have to go with http://hoot.ou.edu/

A little bit of shamless self promotion on behalf of my school, but I'll say that we are one of few websites that allows you to use the keyboard to tab through animations. I have always enjoyed that feature. Also, we have the ECMWF from 12 UTC and 00 UTC.

I like HOOT because of the ease of navigating the forecast hours on model runs, just needing to run your cursor over each hour.

I still enjoy COD because of the sectorized views.

I've also started using the e-wall more.
