Paying for the right weather
Yes, I heard this reported on CNBC (the business channel) this morning. The reporter was saying that perhaps Accuweather needs to take heed of this. CNBC often has a guy from Accuweather on; long-term forecasts are a big deal in the heating oil and crude oil markets these days. Seems like every time it snows around New York City, the traders get spooked and bid the price of oil up another $1 or $2 / bbl.

Yeesh.. makes me second guess... but as a storm chaser, I think I get punished enough when I blow a forecast.. :lol:
