Environment Canada issued a Winter Storm Watch on Monday to prepare us for Wednesdays event in southern Saskatchewan and Manitoba. This may be the coldest it gets this year so I thought I would make a mention of it here. North winds are forecast to be coming in at 70km/hr (80km/hr is warning/damaging critiria) with temps at -30 or worse, windchill will be more like -40 or -50. Schools will be open, and I will be delivering pizza like mad that night! I think I will purchase some extra candles as they will save lives if the power goes out.
