THR stands for Thickness Ridge Cloud in the SATREP.
Some of my collegues at KNMI (Royal Dutch Meteorological Institute) are making this kind of satellite-tool a few times a day.

Organised cloudiness in the thickness ridge in front of Cold Fronts which can be extremely convective in unstable situations.
