Waterspout/tornado observed in NY lake-effect snow band

Multiple chasers observed a waterspout/possible tornado from a Lake Erie lake-effect band in western New York today:

No, actually FAR more rare. Thundersnow is quite common in a blizzard.

There was one that caused EF1 damage in 2013.

I've witnessed lightning and thunder during winter storms on multiple occasions. During one storm it was cloud-to-ground. Dan, you'll probably remember the March 2013 storm in St. Louis. Numerous lightning reports on that one. For all I know you might even have video of it

New years Eve of last year we had a blizzard roll through Central Nebraska and it was some of the craziest thundersnow I'd ever seen. Part of me I was looking at a supercell instead of a blizzard
