• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

I know Tony and Jayson enjoyed the comedy last spring..(did I say 'spring'?).

Booooinnng! Yeah, I won't forget that..

And actually, Tim has saved me; last fall he had to haul me out of the mud; when I escaped, he then had to haul himself out of the mud.

I guess while AAA is great, nothing beats chasing with company in those events...

I have had AAA "Plus" for years. I am a huge believer in it. I've always had fantastic customer service with it. In fact, when your immediate situation is fixed and you're back on the road....you'll get a call from another department of AAA. They'll ask you if your experience was ok or otherwise.
The "Plus" part of AAA-Plus extends the amount of miles that a tow-truck can be sent to help you in the event of a breakdown. It only costs a bit more annually...and I heartily recommend it.
I especially recommend AAA for folks with kids that are perhaps away from home and are of driving age...ie college age, etc. It's a great Christmas "stocking stuffer".

AAA membership is an insurance policy against worst-case scenario breakdowns/getting stuck. It will save you money if you need a tow in the middle of nowhere. I had a fuel pump go out 50 miles from Bismarck, ND in 2006, and AAA came all the way out into the boonies to tow the car back to Bismarck. That would have been one heck of a bill if I had to pay the towing company - much more than the AAA membership fee.

They give you four assistance calls per year. I have used all four before - either due to locking keys in the car or needing a jump.

I use AAA. Ive been a Gold Member for years. Only problem i have ever ran in to is them trying to find a tow company willing to come out into the boonies and tow me back. i had wait for 6 hrs once, but AAA covered all miles over the 100 and renatl car and motel room for the night. it was like $100 dollars that i saved and they covered.
