As you can see from the launch page they've made, Adobe is on the cusp of releasing CS 5:

If you're planning on getting Photoshop or any of the CS suite in the near future, hold off until they release this! :)

I was one of the beta testers; everything I shot in the past 8 months was edited with PS CS 5. They won't let me talk about any of the features, which is annoying as heck, but it's definitely a step up from PS CS 4.

Thanks for the update as I am considering upgrading. I'll wait. I think there may be a slight delay by a couple of weeks after the launch date before one can actually get the product.

I'll only upgrade (currently have CS4 Master Suite), if Premiere brings back Stop Motion....I hate having to attempt using my old 6.0 or 6.5 for that feature.

The video section for photography on that link didn't really make me want to go out and upgrade from CS4. Content aware fill so far is all I have seen that would be nice, at times. HDR they mostly just mention being able to nuke the images more now, and show nasty examples on the video. Still have never had much luck with things like the moon or street lights on HDR stuff. Without it looking all garbledly.

If you take an image processed in C4 and toss it over into C5 with the same sidecar file settings, does it look the same? I hope they kept the gradient tool in there so it at least works the same...in RAW that is. But it'd be cool if they had more masking abilities in that part, much like is available in regular photoshop. Now that would be worth upgrading for.

Not sure yet I'm glad or not, at not being talked into CS by what they have on their site.

Gonna cost me 200 bucks if I want to update from CS3. Still not sure if I would upgrade or not, but CS3 is having problems shutting down on my i7 system - I have to force it to close so an upgrade may fix those issues
