The main reason I post this is the enthusiasm heard from what I believe are students at Cal State Fullerton.

I hiked in this same stuff today near Mt. Baldy...nothing heavy, cut down on direct sunlight and made an otherwise muggy day more comfortable.

Thanks for that. Yeah, ignorance etc. can bring some interesting comments on the internet, but at least folks are interested. Lack of interest in the world around us is one of my main concerns for our country.
