• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Very Interesting tornado

It seems like other videos of European tornadoes that I've seen are similar. They appear to be smaller/tighter with less parent storm organization and very low bases. Climatology or geography differences?

Watching it rope out what looked like at least twice, rebuild and all while in contact with the ground in apparently the same location was amazing. It looked like it didn't vary more than a few hundred feet in any particular direction the duration of the video.

Pretty nice tornado, but i know one thing...the dude needs a tripod!

Sweet video, Ive seen it before but I thought the location was somewhere else...Brazil perhaps? It was months ago so I cant even begin to remember.

Appears as a very tight, multi-vortex tornado with just an amazing display of horizontal wind shear surrounding the thing. Beautiful to watch!

Nice display of the helical vortex (I thinks that's the name) on the outside of the main body of the tornado. It reminds me a lot of the Minnesota tornado captured from a news helicopter back in the mid/early 90s.

I recently saw another video of tornado from Greece. It could be the same one, but from a different angle.

Awesome video, but the tornado doesn't count about half the time ;)

Slowest moving tornado ever. A person could crawl away or into that thing. I mean jeesh, just look how far it moved from beginning to end of the video.

If I remember correctly, a lot of the tornadoes that occur in Europe happen in complex topography, such as valleys in Spain or Italy, leading to very complex low-level shear profiles...which accounts for the slow movement, low bases, and laxed necessity for storm organization. From the looks of the video, it looks like this tornado may be situated in a valley.

Greek Swearing??

Thought I heard swearing in Greek "Oh My &^%%*"!! At one point the shaky video camera got pointed upwards and I saw a funnel hanging out of the dark clouds above. Definitely a EF0 tornado in my books!! :)
