USER OPINIONS? Wilson Sleek 3G/4G Signal Amplifier Cradle Kit

I don't have first hand experience TJ, but I see a note on WPS Antennas to call before ordering because a new model is coming out very soon. I just wanted to give you a heads up about that so you were at least aware. Now that Wilson's 4G LTE amplifier has hit the market, I'm getting really antsy for the equivalent Maximum Signal product.

Anyone have any first hand experience with these Wilson Sleek 3G/4G Signal Amplifier Cradle Kits?:http://signalexpander.com/products/wilson-sleek-3g-signal-amplifier-cradle-kit?ref=lexity&_vs=google&_vm=productsearch&gclid=CJaDpL_i-r0CFecWMgodp0QAHw

They look pretty sleek. I would get one if I knew they worked. (none of my phones or hotstpots have external antenna options.)

I have a 3G Sleek and I can confirm it works quite well for the price. I think I paid ~$80 new on ebay a couple years back and haven't quite felt the need to jump to a 4G amp yet, although a Maximum Signal wireless amp would probably be preferred over a sleek at that point. I have always been very impressed with the sleek in terms of performance and we really got to test it out earlier this month in nw ok/s ks where I was able to retain 3G AT&T data only when boosted (compared to my chase partners phone that was dead in the water (also AT&T). My verizon mifi also fits perfectly in the cradle as well, so I often swap them out depending on how strong the coverage is for either given carrier in that specific location.

I wonder how much internal range the unit has for other devices that may be nearby i.e. if you had a phone in the cradle in front of the "antenna", would other devices such as a hotspot be able to see a good [internal] signal from it, as well? I know that with other wireless (no direct coax) signal boosters, the devices were to be "very close" to the internal antenna to receive a quality boosted signal

I know that 4G areas are pretty hit-and-miss, so a 3G sleek might work better anyway. Are the 4G models able to do both 3G and 4G? I would try to put my ZTE Hotspot in my cradle if I can squeeze it in there.

I have it and am fairly impressed with it. It boosts signal when a signal is available. Don't expect it to work magic in a dead zone though.
I also have the Maximum Signal Traveller and I can tell you the Wilson is MUCH better in terms of performance.

Using the cradle device the range is close to zero beyond the device itself according the wilson's own FAQ. The 4G device with range for several devices is coming out and will be available between early May and mid June.

The 4G model will boost 3G, Edge, Evo ect. I would suggest checking the Wilson website for specifics. Some carriers are not supported. For me the 4G is about the same price and 10 times faster when you have it. I have the new one on order.

I ordered the Sleek 4G Cradle Bundle, +26dB all 4G car/home/office - 813426-H

Within the cradle is my Verizon jetpack and the setup works very well! The magnetic antenna is very study and I was able to see real-time data improvements immediately. Highly recommended

Yeah, I played with the 813426 unit at Best Buy. It looks pretty slick. It would work perfectly with my jetpack. I belive you can also pull power from another source? (5VOLT)?

Its priced at $175 retail, $145 eBay new.

I ordered the 4G Wilson and will get it Tuesday, I went to Colorado and found a ton of places with poor signals and I will be going back up in the same area the last week of June/first of July. I will report back then.

This is my 3rd season using the Wilson 4g/3g sleek with booster. I'd say it works pretty well. Keep in mind while chasing you aren't often in 4g areas. It does seem a bit spottier coverage than when I used a dedicated 3g usb device, but there are some big data holes in TX such as near Brownwood. As mentioned it doesn't seem to boost any devices not directly in the cradle. I use mine with Foxfi and so I connect via my computer using the wifi from the phone which is typically plugged in charging to an AC strip. The wifi has a pretty good range from the phone and could be share with other users. I've had issues when streaming with it because it (or Verizon) tend to drop and re-acquire the towers randomly - may be my phone though Razr Maxx. Also if people call you then it disrupts your data unless you are in a 4g area. For this reason I prefer folks to text me. Texts with foxfi will pop up on the computer. All in all I am pretty happy with it as it is a super cheap option that still allows you to chase and GR3 can usually pull in data. If I was going to go to the next level however I would have a dedicated 4g/3g usb with power booster - for streaming and all. I also have Threatnet as a backup so no big deal. - Seriously it does work well however, unless you are in a sparse data area and then you really have to test and compare to other dedicated solutions to really see the performance differences. Generally I would recommend it

Used the Sleek all day yesterday chasing and LOVE it. I never lost a signal, and only went into 3g a few times.

It works well. You can see a noticeable difference when the phone is out of the cradle.

LOVE IT
