I have been wanting to Use my TV as a Second Monitor for radar and other important weather data and even to Live View my video editing. I have a Pinnacle Studio 9 capture card with a video out, yet for some reason a simple SVideo to svideo(TV) or even Composite Cables would not give me a Display on the TV. Just a Black screen.

I remember going to Best Buy, Staples, Office Dept and even Circuit City trying to find what I needed. All the reps basically pointed me to an Additional Graphic Card (100+ dollars for the lowest price) and even some complicated cables that ran close to 80 dollars (for wire? that expensive) I basically said No thank you and went on my way.

Until Yesterday when I was researching "hooking a TV up to a PC" I found a simple and quite cheap solution. What baffled me is the fact that NO DRIVERS are needed and the support for high quality input which ranges from Composite, to Svideo and Even a Composite Red,Blue and Green" combo of wires for ultimate quality.

If you want to use your TV for radar from your pc and want to only spend little dollars I recommend the "Ultimate XP Pro PC-to-TV Converter" at radio shack I bought it for $50.00 and it came with all the cables and even a neat little USB cord as a Power source from your PC, no need to run an extra cord to your Wall Outlets or Power supply.

After installing the wires and powering on I am please with the quality. Not to many people are fond of using a TV as a monitor due to lack of quality, But I have found that the quality is perfect.

Hopefully this will help those of you looking for this type of solution......

"Ultimate XP Pro PC-to-TV Converter" enter this at Radioshack or Google search and read for yourself.
