• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

The chaser gathering was a blast! Lanny gave some very informative information from his Greensburg experience....something I will be thinking about for a while. George Flickinger showed some great video along with Lanny and Jeff Smith. For all those who made it out it was a great pleasure meeting you guys. I am excited about doing this again next year. I'm about to sit down and watch Storms of 2008. Thanks for the dvd.

I just wanted to thank everyone who came out to the Tulsa Chaser-fest, you guys and gals made it a blast and I really enjoyed the Q&A!
Special thanks to Jeff Smith for getting everything together and to the Catoosa Fire Department for ALL their help.
I would also like to personally thank Justin Teague, Greg McLaughlin and company... you all were very patient with me in regards to Greensburg and it was great meeting you guys!

Thanks so much!!!

Jeff, you had everything well put together.

Justin Teague, I had not seen your May 24, 2008 video before. It's really, really awesome.

Lanny, I will see you next Saturday at the seminar in Mayes county.

Thanks everyone for coming out! I had a blast as well as being challenged by Lanny's presentation and also Sean's offer to teach a first aid class...more info on that soon.

Yes, Greg won the chaser car show with his tricked out 4Runner!! Sweet ride, dude!!

Justin & Greg's video was insane! George Flickinger has some awesome stuff as well!

This inaugural event was a huge success and thanks for all who helped and thanks to all who came out!!

I had a great time and it was a pleasure meeting everyone. Lanny's presentation on his experience with being an unprepared first responder to the Greensburg tragedy really brought it home. I feel fortunate that he was gracious enough to tell his story and reveal to us the pyschological impacts of the experience. Thanks again, Lanny.

Jeff Smith's "Mission of Compassion" sounds like another great organization geared towards disaster relief and is not only an example of the character of storm chasers, but also of Jeff's character on a personal level. We are all truly blessed that people like Jeff are willing to go out of their way to help others in their time of greatest need. Thanks, Jeff!

The Catoosa fire deparment was kind enough to lend us their chief and Capt. Sean Pitezel, who offered to provide us with first responder and CPR/first aid training. After Lanny's presentation, I was very much moved to prepare myself for these situations, so Capt. Pitezel's offer was very appealing to me, personally.

George Flickinger showed us some of a his best chase video from the past few years. His video and photos from Attica, KS on May 12th 2004 are awesome and his video from May 24th, 2008 is some of the better video from that event. Thanks for sharing, George.

It was great speaking with Bruce Sumner, Bob Rohloff, and Tom Stroud.

Thanks again to Jeff and Lanny for organizing this event and for you presentations.

I too agree that Lanny's presentation on his expreience with the Greensburg tradgedy was a real eye-opener. When chasing, we never know what tradgedy we may come upon, totally unprepared, both physically and mentally. The American Red Cross offers some excellent classes, which can provide some basic prepardness in case you're faced with an emegency situation. Please take advantage,if not to help others, but to prepare yourself!!
