Tsunami Watch for Hawaii

Terrible news there. And just Wednesday evening local time, another horrific earthquake striking Sumatra, Indonesia killing 200.

Luckily here in New Zealand, the rise in sea level co-incided with low tide yesterday morning.

Two hours after I posted the above, another strong earthquake (Mag. 6.8 on the richter scale) has struck Sumatra with the death toll likely to get into the "thousands".

Certainly very extremely active around the Pacific Rim of Fire.
