The sense I'm getting is be patient. Don't be surprised if you have a another late fall storm slam the NE again this year, too. The SE and gulf coast just isn't looking too promising the way the current systems (few as they are) being guided by upper level components. Much of Texas needs a couple of storms. Many of the mature, large deciduous trees in NE TX are showing signs of drought stress. Much of TX relies on hurricanes and tropical systems to replenish water tables, and hasn't seen one in many many years.
