Triad Skywarn in NC

I was interested in getting involved in the Skywarn for my area. Checked and found out that there is a class about 15 minutes from my house next month. Basic the first week, and Advanced the following week. So I'll go in for both. For those of you that have been through the Advanced, what else do they cover in there as opposed to the basic?

The advanced classes will talk about thunderstorm properties, and atmospheric instability.. They also usually talk about the Storm Prediction Center and the products that they issue.

It could be anything, usually tend to be more geared toward you local area of course. I've found over the years that anything goes with Skywarn classes, especially Basic & Advanced.

In the past, we have had "Advanced Skywarn" training courses here in Southeast Lower Michigan. However, over the past few years, they have been done away with. I actually liked them a lot, and would love to see them offered again in the future.
