Transition Update #8

Well, here we are on the new Stormtrack! Seems feedback thus far is pretty good and myself as well as the guys with blood, sweat and tears in this appreciate it too!
Some notes:

• We are aware of the moderation issue. Some users are being forced to have their posts moderated before they'll submit to the board. We are processing these as they come in so there is no delay. We are working on the issue in the background and hope to have a solution today.
• Users logging in from an Android device are receiving a security notice. This has to do with the SSL. Please change your links to https://www.stormtrack.org. We will forward http://www.stormtrack.org to the https:// once Google indexes for SEO. This could be a week or so.
• When replacing your avatar the system calls for a 12.5kb avatar image. We will up this amount soon.
• We will enforce a strict proper name only rule starting today. Acceptable formats: Steve Miller, S.Miller, Steve M. - If your name is IChaseTornadoesForScience, you can expect a message from staff.
• Please, if you do not have an avatar, upload one! to your account! Hove over your name in the upper right for account settings.
• We are searching for individuals who would like to learn how the WxLibrary works and add chase events and information on behalf of members. If you are interested, please comment below or contact @Dan Robinson.
• We are also searching for people who would like to assist us in maintaining up-to-date weather news and content on the Stormtrack Facebook page. If you are interested please comment below or contact me @Steve Miller.

I will continue to keep you informed about where we are on the issues at hand.

I don't know if anyone has brought this up yet but I can no longer connect using Tapatalk. I hope someone will look into this. Like most, my days are busy and my time available to sit down a a computer is very limited. Using Tapatalk is quick and easy and gives people the ability to check out Stormtrack on the run.

We've moved away from vbulletinboard to xenforo and tapatalk no longer works. I invite you to just visit the page directly on your phone as it should work pretty well.
