• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Yep, if it really works it seems like it could be a required tool for all chasers to keep in the back especially for those chasers that chase down dirt (aka mud) roads. I can see using it getting unstuck, picking it up and then having to use it over and over again in some bad areas. :D

Hmm,. not sure Tow Truck in a Box woulda helped you there. You're sunk in pretty deep. :)

I was loosing traction of the back tires badly, I made everyone stand on the back bumper and try to bounce the back tires more to provide traction. I think if the "Tow Truck In A Box" tracks could have been placed behind the back tires, It would have provided enough traction to get my front end out the ditch.

what about a homemade one , you will need a welder , an angle grinder ,electric drill, two 40 inch long by 7 inch of width per 2 inch of depth C type steel angles from a hardware store , 1/4 inch diameter rebars from the local scrap yard the kind that is used for reinforced concrete , cut them in 7 inch sections , also you can do some nice handles with to be instaled in the end of each steel angle , now weld the pieces of rebar every 5 inches over the steel angle straight face so you will have good traction , now with the anle grinder cut any sharp part of the welds so your tires wont be damaged also try to remove every dangerous sharp edge so you wont be harm when trying to use them in a emergency (remember that in cold temps any cut in your skin is very dangerous and will bleed a lot) , also you can drill some holes and bolt them with butterfly bolts to your roof rack and will give you a good 4x4 look :wink:there is also a wood version used by farmers to move tractors when are struck after the rain , are very popular in the jeeperos vehicle (jeeperos = local jeep/offroad freaks very cool people when you are in the middle of nothing they are on 143.880 pirate vhf some of them help on earthquakes very common here ) .
