Thunderstorm tops and development

Did this thunderstorm just get the snot sheared out of the top from a disturbance?

Some nice CB's in there, even looks like a pileus cloud. Which means the convection is growing and fairly rapidly. Where is this, and what do you mean "did the TS tops get sheared off?" Those updrafts are fairly robust looking, but not anything too exciting. But still, the pictures don't show anything else about the clouds or synoptic setup.
 
Can't really see an upper level disturbance I would think. UL Disturbance might get a cirrus shield, May 3 1999ish, or you can see jet streaks, I miss those. But those pics look like healthy updrafts, but can't really tell you much about shear, as in 0-6km shear vector, cause I don't see them anviling out there. The 'smoke ring' curl I see on one lets me think there's more speed shear than SRH or 0-6km.
 
No shearing going on that I see. Calvin, when thunderstorm tops get sheared, they lean downstream from the upper level wind direction, and a lot of times the tops actually shear off from the main body of the updraft.

The pictures are from video. I don't remember seeing any pileus.

North Carolina before it produced a tornado. It is the bottom tornadic thunderstorm.

Yep, seemed like very unstable air at the low levels if only the environment all the way through was better. It produced a descent tornado about 20 minutes or so after the last pic and yes I did see it.
