This is an early notice regarding the TESSA 2006 Texas Storm Conference.
The event will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2006 at the Colleyville Center in Colleyville, Texas from 8 AM to 5 PM.
Agenda:
Morning
Second Super Storm Spotter Training Session, Gary Woodall, NWS
Afternoon
Presentation on Chaser Responsibility, Dr. Charles Doswell
Presentation by Featured Speaker, David Hoadley
Evening
Dinner to Honor David Hoadley
There will be one additional speaker in the afternoon to be announced at a later date.
After the morning session, emphasis will be on addressing the current concern about unsafe and irresponsible storm chasing and the discussion of possible solutions, and on the celebration of David Hoadley’s career and contribution to storm chasing.
As always, the event is free and open to the public. Seating is limited to 500 persons for the conference.
There will be a fee for those attending the Hoadley celebration dinner.
Since the conference is free and open to the public, TESSA relies on contributions from sponsors and vendors. If you are interested in either sponsoring or being a vendor, please contact Ariana Cibley, the conference coordinator, at [email protected]
