• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Switching GRLevel3 to new Comp?

I need to switch my GRLevel3 to a new laptop-- I see on their forums that you can use the license on multiple computers, but how can I find the license? Never thought to write it down...

Any ideas?

Yeah, you can't extract it from the existing install. Was it emailed to you when you purchased it? Check your archived mail. Otherwise you're going to have to request it from Mike (and he might charge you for it  ).

If you still have the same e-mail address, you can retrieve the key again, otherwise, like Skip said, you get to buy it again so you can write the code down.

I had saved the email with my key in my 'saved email' folder of my Yahoo account but then that email got hacked and I had to cancel it not remembering to retrieve that first. I then had to re-pay to get another copy on my new laptop. Sucks because I had actually saved the email but hadn't planned on that account getting hacked. Bummer but still worth the money considering how much I rely on the software...

Thanks for the help. Never thought to check deleted email... thanks for helping me think thru that, as well as the other ideas. I have this saved in multiple locations now.

If you still have access to the old computer, you will find that
1) your registration key is saved in the registery key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\GRLevelX], and
2) your GRLevel3 settings are saved in the registry key: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\GRLevelX].

Other that that, as others stated...use the lostkey link at http://www.grlevelx.com/lostkey/ to retrieve your key.
