@Gavin Nichols..... It's not a stupid move to want to increase your knowledge, just gotta live and learn. You don't wanna look back 10 years from now at stuff you posted and cringe.... I can tell you that from personal experience, lol!

Related to the article, I noticed they used the terms "Thunderline" and "Bug Echo." Are those legit terms, or are they confusing Squall Line and Bow Echo? I've never heard of either of the former as slang.

I don't think it is fair to SPC to call those tornadoes a "surprise." There were tornado watches out ahead of the storms.

Not a total surprise - they were mentioned at Day 3 and in the tornado threat DY2 and DY1.
