Super-Fast Auto Refresh - Wow!!!

I'll have a hard time fixing this if I can't duplicate it, which so far I haven't been able to. If it's still doing it to some people tomorrow I might put in for a server reboot in case something got wonky. It almost sounds as if not all of the php code for a given callout isn't completely loading.

Well, something is definitely wrong. Problem is that it's not giving up any clues as to what it is. I just tried to access the admin area of vbulletin and nothing in there is working for me. I am going to ahead and put in for a reboot of the server just to clear out any gremlins and go from there.

Ok I just put in for the reboot. I don't know exactly when they will do it, but of course the forum will be down for a short time when it does reboot.

I cleared my cookies but the problem seems to be worse. I guess I will take a break from ST untill the mods can fix the problem.

Daivd, I don't know if this well help, but I have both IE6 and IE7 and it only does it on IE6. I got on this morning with both and it is only doing it with IE6.Jay

Which makes sense, because the older cached data won't be corrupted since everything used to be fine. Is anyone else seeing the corrupted images on the main page?

That's very telling to me because those are individual image files that seem to be corrupted. They show up that way in Opera, Firefox, and IE 5.01, 5.5, 6, and 7. David, try downloading those images off the server via SSH or something to rule out network mangling. If they're still corrupted locally, I'd suspect its the data on the hard drive(s) getting corrupted.

Thanks for catching that on the images. I have been concentrating on the forum problems and hadn't seen that. I noted a few images throughout the site doing that. Looks like what I a probably will do after while is take down the forum, do a clean install of the newer version and put the database back in it. I got a backup of it last night and will try and get a newer backup just before doing it so hopefully we won't lose anything. I'll put an announcement up on the main page when I start to do all of this. It may take a while to import the database back in, as it's rather large.

Heck - I'm just glad to see that I am not, in fact, going insane!

So......dare I ask...are we back up?? The tagbs above the post window here (i.e. insert link, insert picture, bold, italics etc.) are all working......they weren't back with the problems we were having.

Oh yeah......and couldn't we at least have had Pac-Man or something? :D

Well, I'm glad it's fixed! :)

For a while there it started to remind me of the psychededlic 60's! :D

Good job Dave!

Well, I thought about putting up a game Karen, but with 36,000 pages of mysql code ahead of me to sort through, I figured you guys would rather I spend that time getting the forum back up. :)
