Just wanted to share some shots I captured this morning in -12 degrees, near Caledonia, MI.

Any one else have any shots from this Arctic blast period we have experienced this week?

Beautiful photos Kurt, I really like the second one and am hoping to score one like that this season.
Been watching the skies but have only seen a few around xmas when we were in the freezer up here.

First shot is from xmas eve, the first time I have captured a circumzenithal arc with a halo/dogs.

This second one was in a little localized ice crystal mixup on boxing day that we just happened to be in the right place to see.
The pillar from the sun to the ground was insanely bright, the brightest I have seen. Nothing there a mile up the road.

Nice pics Kurt! Here's one that I took about the same time at my place up North. (FYI...I see that the "Starvation Lake" area SE of Mancelona in Kalkaska County is upto about 165" of snow this year already while Lansing has had the second snowiest Winter to date since the Civil War!)
