Discord continues to grow and to that end we are rearranging how different roles interact with the server.
The following changes are effective today:

Discord membership is structured Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. Members may self-identify upon registration, however, a noticeable a lack of weather / storm chasing knowledge will result in a downgrade to a more appropriate level.

Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced roles will now access Channels in a graduated fashion with Beginner having the least amount of access and Advanced having full Channel access.

Beginners in the storm chasing hobby are welcome and can quickly graduate to Intermediate and access more rooms. This bump is at the sole discretion of a Moderator. That Moderator will serve as a sponsor of an elevated account.

To graduate to intermediate or higher, the Discord will require the use of a real name variation and location. i.e. Steve Miller (Moore, OK).

The primary purpose of Discord is to talk about storm chasing and weather. Alternative conversations shall take place only in the #off-topic room. All non channel-related content will be removed at the discretion of staff.

Click on the Discord invite at stormtrack.org, and follow the instructions. It just kind of does everything in a line.

Although, it is down at the moment, so maybe give it a half hour or so.
