• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

As Christmas nears us in the USA what equipment for storm chasing/ weather monitoring is on your list/ Wish List? Heres my wish list!

3000 watt pure sine power inverter
yeasu ft-7900R ham radio
sony cx-900 camcorder
hail roof rack/guard
metal tube bumper
winch
Bungee tow rope
Ram IPad vehicle floor mount
Mobile Threat Net system
cell phone signal booster

Happy Holidays everyone! :)

A decent camcorder leads my list. I'm starting to realize that there is a difference in video quality depending on the equipment. 2017 will be a new year of video excellence for me!

A roof rack for my Forester so that I can get started on building a hail guard for it, and a cell signal booster.

@Devin Pitts
Consider a Rola Vortex with extension. Can be had for pretty cheap on Amazon (Prime rocks for something that heavy). Thats what I use on my Forester...I have pics all over on here of the car.

Strangely enough, I have no chasing gear on my list this year.

Main thing for me is camcorder equipment. I don't have to have the latest and greatest every year (my laptop is 3 years old and is still ticking. No clue what I'll get as a camcorder yet, but I'll cross that bridge when I get there. I need to get the ham gear that I already bought installed.

I'd also like a few upgrades for my computer but I already know what I'm after on that. I'll have a new vehicle next year most likely, but I don't think I'm going to look for laptop mounts since I don't really have my laptop out after storms go up. If I do, I already have some inverters that I had in my semi.

I'm sorry to hear the struggles continue Joey. I have a close family member who is so mired up in alcohol addiction that there seems to be no hope left. Three or four week binges aren't uncommon and I'm not exaggerating. Hang in there, I'll be thinking about you!

I'd like a Cradlepoint IBR1100 series router but it's so expensive I know it isn't realistic. I can dream though right?!
