• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Storm Assist is now shipping DVDs and Blu-rays featuring some of the most dramatic and beautiful storm chaser footage of the 2013 season. As always, 100% of the profits from the sale of this production go to local charitable organizations directly aiding storm victims. Thanks to your support we were able to send $20,000 down to Moore, OK last year and thousands more to other storm impacted communities such as Washington, IL and Hattiesburg, MS.

We listened to your feedback and really tried to step it up a notch this year. Each chapter features a narrated meteorological overview and event summary, dramatic editing and music. There's a nice tribute to Tim and Paul Samaras and Carl Young at the end as well.

Blu-rays are $25 plus shipping and DVDs are $20 plus shipping. I highly recommend the Blu-ray if you have a Blu-ray player. The detail on some of the up close tornado shots is amazing. International shipping available.

Skip, I know this is a real long shot, but: would it be possible to offer this as a 1080p digital download such that the profit would be equal to the DVD/BR, but the actual cost would be lower (especially with no shipping)? I'm sure the file would be several GB, so bandwidth could be an issue. I'll likely order a Blu-Ray copy soon, but wanted to completely eliminate this as an option first.

Yes, we've been looking into this option and would definitely like to take advantage of it once we find a suitable host or distributor. It might be a bit though, so I wouldn't wait if you were thinking about picking up a copy.

Sounds good -- will go ahead and order soon, as I've heard lots of good things about this year's production!
