St. Bernard Parish flooding

WDSU just reported breaking news that their reporter called to say he is stranded on the second floor of a gov't building in St. Bernard Parish and that the water is 15-20 feet deep "throughout the parish." :shock:

Don't know how he would have that kind of info if he's stranded, but sounds like very bad localized flooding, at the least.

anyone know how deep the water has gotten around winn-dixie in meraux?

Dunno specifically about that location, but all of St. Bernards is reported to be majorly flooded. Chalmette HS is under 10 foot of water or more.
