Hi everyone,
EuroSprite 2006 started early July.
This year Pic du Midi is operated remotely (currently has pan/tilt unit problems). Here in Toulouse we also have a sprite camera (Watec 902H) and we went with it to Mont Aigoual in the Cevennes in France, where there is an observatory of Météo France at 1567m.
In the night of Wednesday to Thursday we caught 20 sprites. We got our first sprites recorded simultaneously from these two locations, allowing triangulation and a better 3D idea of their shapes.
See the images and story at the EuroSprite 2006 blog
cheers!
