I have a friend who works on the NASA side of a SpaceX contract, and from what he has told me, the Starship program is just a hot, steaming mess. People who have never worked in aerospace making big decisions. Skimping out on conventions that exist in the industry for very good reasons. And to be fair that's what you get when you have some of the worst pay and working conditions in the industry and try to specifically stick to hiring fresh out grads looking for experience that will tolerate that abuse.
