SPC Convective Outlook

Depends on what map you're looking at. When you mouse over the threat, it will tell you the hatched area's definition below the map.

As now.....I went to SPC convective outlook for current day1. If I hover the mouse over hail, the map shows the black lines in the Texas/Okl. area

The un-hatched area represents a probability of 1 inch diameter hail or larger within 25 miles of a point. The hatched area indicates an additional 10% or greater probability of two inch diameter hail or larger within 25 miles of a point.

Like rdale said, you can mouse over the different tabs (tornado, wind, hail) to see what the areas mean. If your browser doesn’t show you the definitions, I would try a different browser. I’m using Firefox and it works just fine.
