SPC Convective Outlook changes?

Its probably due to those "higher end" SLGT risk days...the 10-30-30 hatched days that can still have violent tornadoes that decimate towns. Then people say, but it was *only* a slight risk when it should have been MDT bla bla bla.

I totally agree with that as a chaser, but we're such a small minority. The only citizens I've ever seen weather-aware are OK/KS people when there is a high risk. For all intents and purposes, you could just have two risk levels: "High risk for people that have had areas impacted by F5s recently" and "whatever, who gives a ".

Will the SPC be releasing any details on what prompted this change and how they're going to measure success? It seems like a pointless change driven by bureaucracy, but I hope it does actually help.

On Facebook I saw a diagram of their proposed changes. The words "slight" and "enhanced" risk are extremely confusing. I am totally in favor of the "KISS" method: Keep it simple and stupid. Leaving the current system in place, in my view serves just this purpose.
