Some Questions

Got an email from a guy and he asked a couple questions. Some of these go a bit beyond anything I know, so I thought I'd post them here and get some input from more experienced minds...

hey, im also very interested in weather and am studying to be a meteorologist. I have a few questions and you look like someone who may be able to answer them, if you cant its ok. First, is there a direct relationship between lightning and lapse rates, cloud temps, rainfall, haillfall, radar reflectory or anything else? like basicaly if something is of a certain value can you conclude there will definitly be a lot of lightning? also, do supercells usualy contain more lightning than other storms? thanks
