Why!? I guess because it had a good price, tagged at wally world for 40 bucks (it was actually 50, but they honered the price) I picked up The Weather Channel 1910 "Professional Wireless Weather Station" It came with a wind sensor and hygrometer (I think)

I thought it would be fun to watch and record things on paper I guess

Anyone use this weather station? What do you do with yours if you don't have this model

Not a bad price for something like that; I believe they are actually made by La Crosse Technology. Decent enough for general weather info around the house I suppose..

Personally though I prefer Davis Instruments for better accuracy and good quality; plus I like to have it interfaced to my computer. Of course you won't get anything from Davis for $40 ... :)
