I have quick question about selling tornado video.
Normally when I sell video to the media its nonexclusive rights. I understand the going rate for this type of sale is from $35-55 per second. What I’m interested in, is finding out what the going rate is for exclusive video sales. How much should I charge for a 10 second clip with exclusive rights for 2 years? Keep in mind that I have two other production companies interested in purchasing nonexclusive rights to the same video clip.
The video was shot on MiniDV and is a 10 out of 10 for content.
I’ve been ripped off in the past, so I’d like to get a fair deal this time.
