• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

We have added a new area to Stormtrack called Resources, designed specifically to index storm chasing and weather-related items. Be it GRLevelX add-ons, books, DVD's, etc. If it's weather-related and it's offered as a download or for sale, this will become the go-to place to find it.

SALES: You will note that some have begun to populate the Resources area with DVD's they have for sale. If you have chase videos you would like to sell on the site, please feel free to post them in Resources. Do you have weather software or services you offer? Make a resource for it!
It's important to note that ST is not the payment processor, nor does ST take a cut of your sale. This is simply an opportunity for you to reach a targeted audience with your product.

RESOURCES: I have populated the Resources link with common topics of interest to those looking for a storm chasing or weather resource. It's the job of the community to populate things such as Mobile Applications and GR placefiles and shapefiles. The key to the GR tools is to ask permission of the developer who created it prior to posting. Mobile Apps? Eh, just post your favorites along with all the pertinent info so others can easily find and read about that resource.

I encourage you to poke around in the Resources area and see what you can contribute to it. If you would like a section added, comment below.

Cool idea Steve! Losing Grlevelxstuff was a terrible loss of fantastic information. Much of that data is still out there though.

Once a resource is uploaded, how does one go about updating the version? I haven't been able to figure that out.

Also, I had an icon ready for a new resource, but I forgot to hit the "add icon" Can't seem to see how to fix it retroactively.

....Which I would think would mean just deleting it and starting over, but I can't delete a resource I've created.

Just some thoughts. Thanks!

GrX placefiles could be an entire section of this site on its own. I never even thought about the resources area being a place to house those. Excellent!

I guess my list of libraries with internet is probably too old. hahaha.

Great idea. If I actually have any lists that are relevant I'll be happy to add them. I think most have become outdated or are already covered better by others.

In regards to GRx supplements. It's likely a good idea to have one "post" for one member's material. It's gonna get really messy in there if we have post for every color table.

@James Hyde, we can further categorize as more content is added. What we will do is have a GR parent and then create children for each TYPE of resource under that parent. This way the search function will be most efficient (having a resource for each download or link), and people can browse to find items as well. Please feel free to start adding resources and we will ensure they are easy to find!
