Req: A Exhaustive Collection of Weather Links

D. Hayes

I had a very good collection of weather related links on my laptop. But stupid me reloaded Windows and forgot to back up my favorites. :(

I'm hoping together we can create a exhaustive collection of weather related links. Perhaps sticky them in this forum for all to see and add to. If you could, give a brief breakdown of the site. If this has already been done, can we please get it as a sticky in this forum?

The Mike Geukes website listed above is the absolute most complete listing of weather links on the web. I wish someone would catalog those links into a favorites file and distribute it. I would even pay a couple bucks for it!

You aren't kidding. It makes my chasedata site look pretty pathetic.

I just checked out Mike's site and I am speechless. He must have over 1,000 links at his site. Keep up the good work Mike.

Thanks for the comments, since my name is always misspelled,
and hard to remember, I now have a site called Supercell Weather

I decided to rename my weather links site to:
Supercell Weather
http://supercellweather.blogspot.com

I will maintain the other site too: which is a duplicate of the above.
Mike Geukes Weather
http://mikegeukesweather.blogspot.com

I will have to update the Geukes Weather site over winter break.
http://geukesweather.blogspot.com

I will be adding more information to the weather sites, in the near future.

I use this Firefox addon called XMarks (formerly Foxmarks) that allows a person to backup their favorites and/or bookmarks to the XMarks website and sync them up between all of your computers and browsers such as Internet Explorer now. They have this cool new feature that allows sharing of bookmarks as well, so I put up my most commonly used folder called "Chase Links" here: http://share.xmarks.com/folder/bookmarks/Krxxnmsfvj

You can also subscribe to it as an RSS feed by clicking the link in the upper right hand corner of the webpage. I have a more general folder called "Weather" that contains everything I've run across and didn't want to forget. You can find it here if you're interested: http://share.xmarks.com/folder/bookmarks/epuudpLMrA

I sure hope I haven't left anything in there to embarrass myself, but in any event I think some my find this useful. If nothing else download XMarks and you'll never lose your favorites and/or bookmarks again!! I could potentially see XMarks used for those who want to share their favorites as a convenient way to accomplish that goal.

Mark - Right on!!!
I use Xmarks already and love it. Had no idea you could share the links online. Great! thanks!

Yep, you just login to your online profile and there it is! If you ever run into troubles you can restore an old set as well. Here about a month ago something corrupted my "Technology" folder and I had to restore an older set. XMarks keeps every sync job you ever perform, so it can really save your bacon (if you know what I mean)?!

Thanks guys I sure do appreciate it. Hopefully this can be a sticky since I know it comes up every once in a while. Just doing a search for "links" returns too many results to fish through. Thanks again!
