Finally had a chance today to post some photos from our record Equinox snowfall.
It was like magic to experience, due to its beauty, being so late in the season and in fact it snowed and acumulated at all in this usually snowless region.
Feel free to check the photos at www.joyfulstormhunting.com
Close to 4" fell in my area, just 30 miles to my NNW there was 8"; 35 miles west just over 1".
It's been an amazing winter season here due to it snowing instead of sleeting or icing when it got towards freezing. I personally intercepted approximately 14" of snow this season. Some areas around here had much more than that and in their own back yards.
My snowfall totals:
12/25/09: 2" on 40 mile intercept, Garland to Bedford
12/29/09: nearly 1" on 40 mile intercept, Garland to McKinney
2/12/10: up to 6" on my street in morning; saw 7" on 10 miles drive north later that day after some had melted. Our lake kept 5" from accumulating in my neighborhood on the 11th that accumulated just 5 miles from the apartment.
3/21/10: a hair under 4" in my neighborhood.
