I've been fairly pleased with F5Data and GRLevel3, from what I've seen of them, but haven't had a chance to try either of them in the field under actual chase circumstances yet.

GR3 _is_ the defacto chaser standard
The software rdale mentioned is all great, but does a lot of different functions. What specifically are you looking for? A radar viewer? A mesoanalysis aid? A model viewer?

As far as radar viewing, I have both GR Level 2 and 3 and am very happy with their capabilities. I'd like to get MTN one day but that would break my bank at the moment.

I think he means Mobile Threat Net which is a decent program, and does not require an internet connection, it gets the data via XM Sat service. It is very expensive, between buying the hardware/software, the monthly XM fees are high.

I'd add WeatherScope to that list. I use it to create mosaics of many radar sites, and I can over/under-lay lots of realtime data too.

I was referring to Mobile Threat Net. I haven't looked in a while but as of a few months ago it was very pricey i.e. several hundred dollars, and then the monthly fees.

I agree, we use Stormlab here at the EOC, along with GR2AE and Mobile Threat Net as a backup incase we loose internet connectivity.
