Releasing the next in my line of storm chasing highlights flicks, PWX 2010; A Few Good Storms.

Started as a strictly 2010 DVD, but I have an annoying habit of watching my old stuff and always thinking "that could have been done better" so I just kept editing and ended up making it more of a "my favorite storms since 2007" DVD.

Definitely a more "artsy fartsy" DVD than previous productions with a ton of time lapse action.

Features the May 10 2010 Wakita, OK EF3, May 22 2010 Bowdle SD everything but the wedge, but plenty of pheasant in my grille chase, June 7 2008 Chicago area wedgefest with four separate massive tornadoes from one supercell, May 22 2008 high risk chase with four tornadoes filmed from close range and very rare video of the Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin tornadoes on July 22 2010. Plenty more tornado video, plus more for those seeking plenty of mother nature's eye candy including 100 mph tree uprooting RFD winds and a big ol' time lapse segment.

Asking $15 now, but will raise it to $20 mid-September. Shipping included.

I'll ship the first round out this weekend.

Ordering information, a complete list of included dates and some pretty pictures:

EDIT: I should add that I really prefer trading videos with other chasers. I obviously don't make DVD's to get rich, but the main reason for doing so is to have something to trade with other chasers. What better way to spend the evening when it's snowing outside than on the couch with someone else's DVD cranking away. Anyone wanting to trade for this year or any other for that matter just PM me.

Just a quick bump as I plan to ship out the first batch of orders tomorrow morning. If anyone wants to sneak in an order or make a trade get in touch!

Going to do one more week at the $15 price tag before I bump it up to $20 and quit caring about DVD's until next fall.

I've uploaded the actual DVD intro to youtube for anyone who's curious how the actual editing was done.

The next round will be sent out this Friday, so get them in by that morning if you're still interested. The DVD will be available for as long as you'd want to wait, but as I said, on Sunday night I'll bump the price up to it's resting spot at $20 and quit plugging it until next fall.

Still up for (prefer, really) trades with other chasers so PM me if you'd like to go that route.

Hey Wesley,

Thanks for getting in touch. I was actually going to send out an email tonight to you and another person who had ordered last week. I had a technology issue that was 100% my fault that set me back on sending out the next batch. The DVD's have already shipped, but I'd meant to make you guys aware of the situation earlier than this.

I just finished watching Andrew's DVD. Skip, Adam and I watched it as a matter of fact on the way to the cabin. Very well put together and very entertaining to watch. Especially seeing May 10th from his point of view. I can't watch May 22nd without chuckling at the fact he got owned by a pheasant and missed a beautiful tornado that was 5 miles to the his NW while he sat there and ripping feathers out of his grill! Bad luck! But hey at least you didn't get rear ended again! Overall this DVD captures excellent photography, time lapse, and raw video of Nature's glory. I only wish he was out chasing more events to see that perspective and his knack for being in the right place at the right time. I especially enjoyed my cameo as I stood out in 80 mph RFD winds and Andrew zooming in on me getting owned by spray! Great DVD and a great addition to your collection.

Hey Wesley,

Thanks for getting in touch. I was actually going to send out an email tonight to you and another person who had ordered last week. After thinking about this, I owe you an apology. When I wrote that I failed to mention that I had only ordered the week before. I read that you were shipping in one batch one week, then another batch another week. I was just curious as to when you were shipping the next batch. I have a friend coming over this weekend who wants to see some of my footage of the May 10 event and thought it would be cool to also show him the same event from someone else's perspective so I was just wondering if I would have that DVD to use for that. My footage pretty much sucks, since I got it from highway 81 north of Medford. I want to also show him what it looked like out on highway 11 when it was multiple vortexes dancing around.

When Danny Neal replied it bumped the thread back up and I read it again and it sounded like I meant you were slow in shipping, which is not the case. So whoever reads this thread, please take this into context. I do not want to ever bring a bad light onto anyone who does not deserve it. :o

Absolutely no apology needed Wes! I have generally been shipping one batch each week, but in past years I tried to ship each DVD the day of, or day after. So, once I screwed myself out of shipping last weeks batch that should have included yours I really had intended to inform you earlier that it would be delayed. Even before you said anything, I'd felt bad because it seemed like an eternity ago that I needed to get them out even if it was only a week.

Either way, I appreciate the explanation but don't feel you need to take anything back as my apology for the delay stands. ;)

All this aside, I hope it arrives in time for your viewing party. The slip estimated a Monday delivery, but we can hope for a day early! I hope it's worth the wait.

I'll add for anyone else, that simply because I have not had the time to do much website work (even though it's a 5 minute task I could tackle right now) I never did raise the price of the DVD to 20 bucks. So, technology issues have been resolved and the price remains $15 if anyone is looking for a cure to those late season blues. Of course, the 966 MB low forecast for Monday could help.

I've just placed my order, and was pleasantly surprised to see the DVD still priced at $15. Looking forward to this one, the previews were superb.

Your DVD is outstanding. I got through most of it last night and have enjoyed every minute of it... well, except for that tool in the truck who hassled you about your parking. ;) The time lapse segments and music are a nice touch. Personally, I like severe storms whether they're tornadic or not (I'm a structureholic) so this video was right up my alley. ;)

I finally got a chance to sit down and watch "A Few Good Storms." This is an excellent DVD with professional editing, and a great selection of shots. In addition to some dramatic shots from May 10 and May 22 this year, I thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful May 22, '08 rope and being tortured by the June 7, '08 wedgefest footage (I was in iowa).

When Andrew says this DVD is "artsy fartsy" he means that it really is a work of art. One of my favorite parts of the DVD is the timelapse montage at the end. These shots are gorgeous and the music selection works well with them. Andrew is also a great photographer and you can really see his skills with the still sequences at the end. This DVD is definitely worth getting if you enjoy high quality, dramatic tornado footage and beautiful timelapsed cloudscapes.

With finals week approaching and ending soon, I'll be spending much of the rest of the holidays back home and not thinking about DVD sales. While I'm sure the list is small or non-existent I'm bumping this guy in case anyone was thinking about ordering a copy still. Go ahead and do it this week to avoid any potential delay if you were to order later in the month.
