I hadn't seen this clip before. Dang!

It gets pretty wild about 16 seconds in, when the tornado hits something and a cloud of dirt rockets skyward, shortly after which a roof goes tumbling through the air.

Anyone up for chasing in Poland? :D

Indeed they do. Couple more videos of the same tornado:

Pretty impressive. International tornadoes are fascinating, I wish there was a better record of them. Especially in Russia.

Edit: Whoops, actually the second video is from a tornado several years ago.

Ah, almost forgot about the long-track F4 tornado that struck during the August 2008 Poland outbreak. It was on the ground for 60+ miles from what I recall.

Thank you for your shares! What an amazing multivortex twister in the latter post! I have also seen a close up video of a bus about to drive into a tornado - taken from the bus itself, also filmed in Poland. If I can find it I'll post.

I think this is the one you're talking about, Stephen. It must have been terrifying to have been on that bus!

I've seen a good number of impressive videos of Polish tornadoes over the last few years. Something about that country's geography evidently sets up the right synoptic conditions for supercells and tornadoes--strong tornadoes, too, not, er, "mini-tornadoes." ;)
