This article came out last September, but I was just made aware of it. This is another Copyright Alliance spotlight on a chaser's struggles against content theft. featuring Hank Schyma:

His verified losses of a billion views is just staggering. That's enough money to live and retire on several times over.

Wow that's pretty shocking.
Makes you wonder how many views the various other well-known chasers lose to those various "fake/re-post channels"
I know Reed's stuff gets grabbed & re-posted all over YouTube, I've seen that.. lots.

I know I could buy a nice house (at bare minimum) with cash if I somehow was paid for all of the lost views. My losses are on the mid range of the scale compared to Reed, Hank and other big names.

I recently learned that my own videos' infringement losses tally is into the seven-figure range. There is no end to what is happening. It has forced me to make the decision to shut down the professional aspect of my operation. The fruits of all of the grind, the hustle, the 24-hour days, the expensive equipment, sleeping in my car on trips, the car replacements every 4-5 years, working continuously for months juggling an IT career and striving to produce the best content I could - it's all going to the thieves, not me. I'd be insane to keep doing that.

Every professional or semi-pro chaser is going through this, and some are successful enough to be able to scrape by with 90% of their income being stolen. I'm not.
