All the photographers were compensated. My wife works for the magazine and I had posted a call for photos on here in January:

Glad to see people from our group get their pictures published.
The current issue has reader's letters mostly praising the weather issue, but there were some thinking the state's tourism magazine should not be scaring people away by bringing up the fact we have tornados.
 
WHAT!!! My pictures are being used?!?!? Just kidding ;) Compensation was nice for a change... 100 more times and maybe i'll make $$$ off my camera gear ;)

That's right... lets deny the existence of one of Oklahoma's best commodities. Now we're starting to sound like E. Europe! Lets not also forget how much $$$ the wx industry brings into OK. Dang Okies!
