Nowcast starter question

Was wondering if someone could answer a quick Nowcast post question. On 5/9/09 evening a fast moving line of storms raced across Central MA and Southern N.H. Seeing this dramatic line of storms for myself on the horizon while I was out with my family, I took a few photos and then raced home so I could flip on the P.C. Spotted some midlevel circulation in the cells. Posted a Nowcast for Worcester county into southern N.H. counties. An hour plus later, an F0 tornado ripped down numerous trees and destroyed a barn in Sunderland, MA (A town within the nowcast area) before losing strength/rotation as they entered my own community. Notice today that the post was now gone.

For future referance, I was wondering what I did wrong on that thread start or why Mod would delete/move/hide. Does a Nowcast needed a certain amount of time before considered? (As mentioned, my window of posting was not days but only hours.)

Cheers and chase safe.

I don't think a "Nowcast" thread is supposed to have reports in it. The rules for these threads was recently bumped by a moderator a few days ago after a similar incident. Apparently, you cannot post in a "reports" thread (which is where it sounds like what you had to say would go) unless you actually chased the storms. If all you did was observe them from your home, you're supposed to put the thread in a "discussion" thread.

Thanks Jeff. Yeah, I thought about that but the name NOWCAST still throws me. I observed what was coming myself, confirmed via the radar ASAP and reported before the weather event happened. So there wasn't a report but a notification. So techically it was a forecast... yet admittedly not by much.

Forgive me for the ignorance. The tornadic events (as small as it was) in central MA events are few and far between so you need to act fast or it's over.
