Notifications

This is by no means a big deal, but I'm getting topic reply notifications days after the replies have been made, and after I've already read the replies and those that follow. Could be an problem on my end, I suppose. Again, not a big issue, just a curiosity on my part. My PM notifications are right on time.

Is the issue you would like to turn them off or you want the notifications and have noticed that they are delayed in getting to you?

One thing in your post I didn't understand are the two statements below, which seem to contradict each other. If you could clarify what you meant I'd appreciate it.

Is it the PMs or the e-mails that are delayed in being sent to you?

Sorry for vagueness, Mark. I am receiving notices of PMs quickly. But topic reply notifications are coming in a day or more after the new replies are posted. It happened again today, as I got notices of posts to the Joplin thread and a couple others that I read yesterday.

do you have it set to send you daily notifications or instant notifications? That is a setting you can change using the "Selected Threads" in your Subscription settings.

I wasn't aware of the options, Nick. I've always gotten instant notifications--don't know if I set that up or not--and it just recently changed to a day late. I always assumed that posting in a thread gave automatic instant notification status on that thread, though they do seem to stop after a period of time in long running threads.
