About one week ago these clouds graced the skies over Northwest Iowa, at around 10:30 central time. The sun goes down at about 9:15, and the skies are usually dark by 10, but these beauties kept on shining.
Am I correct in calling these noctulescent?

AH..I thought I spelled those wrong..Oops..Noctilucent..Anyways, we were heading out for Yosemite California that night. 27 hour drive. We were in such a hurry I didn't stop to take more photos..Now I wish I had. It was amazing, these clouds were on one side of the horizon and on the other was a severe line of thunderstorms about 150 miles away putting on an amazing light show. Then, straight above us the stars were vivid. I have never seen a sky like that in my life. It's like Iowa didn't want us to leave!
