New Storm Chasing Series on Discovery

You would think that after 40 of storm chasing becoming a thing, the media would eventually discover they are still missing the storyline. Why are people chasing? It does not matter if they are getting dangerously close to feed an audience hooked on this type of material, but frame the story that way. They don’t need to try and legitimize dangerous road antics as some righteous pursuit to save humans when it’s not.
So true. The thing which drew me into Storm Chasers originally was the Tornado Intercept documentary on Nat Geo about the TIV and VORTEX, and S1 of Storm Chasers kept this link with weather research. As it went on and became a contest between teams and inserting conflict where none existed (I remember Dr Wurman's daughter having to say to people he and Sean were friends and the show had totally mischaracterised things), it became laughable at best.

Yes, I would love to see a show focusing entirely on *genuine researchers* from the major universities and places like NCAR. And throw in some genuine storm spotters from local areas who never get credit for what they do. Completely stay away from the fuzzy science and social media chasers unless they can portray it correctly.
