• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

National Geographic photo contest

Thanks guys. I really appreciate the votes. Currently in 1st place at 182 with second place at 108.

There are so few votes overall because NG hasn't let anyone know about it yet. It's not even available from the main page or the photography page. I'm not sure if they're planning on tweeting and FB posting about it (if they did, there would be about 10k votes in a minute) but for now, all of the votes are from the contestants' solicitations.

I'll be posting some info in the coming days on how you can win a big print of the photo, so be sure to check back here.

I can't vote from this pc. Grrr. I'm hoping that you take the cake - that shot is amazing! The next time I'm in your neck of the woods, I'll take you down on Mass. and get ya something good from Tirra Plaza or Free State. :)

ok so i made an account. it sais i am not eligable to vote, i look in the rules that it linked me to and it doesn't tell me why. i close the pop up screen telling me this stuff and it sais i need to log in first, but on the top of the page it sais hello nick/log out. Sorry man i was really trying to vote for you.

The voting period ends tomorrow (Thursday) at midnight and I've fallen behind so I decided to organize a contest where the winner gets a free 16x24" print of that photo, valued by me at $89.95.

All you have to do to enter is post this link on Twitter or Facebook: http://bit.ly/CTS247

Thanks for all of the help!

A big thanks to everyone for the support. Unfortunately, I finished third in the contest. Guess I'll have to chase South America on my own dime!

You guys are great, thanks for the help.

Sorry to hear that Chad! They obviously do not know a Class Picture when it is staring them in the face. Once again a fantastic Picture and one of High Significance as well.
